French Inspired Half Bath

Here is the half bath in our client's house. The sconces still need shades and some odds and ends need to be added, but the main attractions are set. The inspiration for this bath came from a shopping bag from a French lingerie store! Our client wanted her half bath to feel feminine with a French flair. She also wanted to incorporate pink marble somewhere in the room. After talking about using marble for the flooring we decided to keep the floors the same cherry wood that is running throughout the rest of the house and find a pink marble slab for the vanity top. We had to travel to Atlanta to find the slab of pink marble, but we think it was worth it.
The previous owner left this dresser and mirror in the garage when our client took ownership of the house and with the help of Mortise Tortoise, aka Thomas Taggart, it has been transformed into a bath vanity. An oil rubbed bronze faucet with a slight pink undertone from Jado was used. We found old tin ceiling tiles that came out of a downtown Asheville building and had them affixed to the ceiling.

Here's the marble close up......
Other stats....wall paint color is Ben Moore, 'Barren Plain'.
Vanity paint color is Sherwin Williams, 'Simple White'.
Sconces are from Cyan and sink lavatory and toilet are Toto.
More complete pictures will follow soon.....
